Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

Rhizela (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through rhizela.com, why we collect it, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller

Rhizela (SAS), Les Fourneaux, 36700 Saint-Médard, France. Contact: contact@rhizela.com.

Data we collect

  • Information you give us — through the contact form (first and last name, email, phone, country, farm/organisation, message) and through job applications you send by email (your CV and any details you include).
  • Technical data — collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies (e.g. device and browsing data) when you use the site.

Why we use it & legal basis

  • To respond to your enquiries and contact you — pre-contractual steps and our legitimate interest.
  • To process job applications — our legitimate interest in recruiting.
  • To operate, secure and improve the site — legitimate interest, and your consent for non-essential cookies.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand its use. You can manage your preferences through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Sharing & processors

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our communications — notably Shopify, which hosts the site and processes data on our behalf — and where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers (such as Shopify) may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and request portability. You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority (CNIL, www.cnil.fr). To exercise your rights, email contact@rhizela.com.

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest version.
